IN THE DOGHOUSE - 1998
ROLE DESCRIPTION: Gabrielle plays Lauren Gibb, the insane owner of an imaginary pet.

OVERALL IMPRESSIONS: Gabrielle's only scene in the movie takes place in an animal talent agency, where people bring their pets for shots at ads and movie roles. Not everyone who brings pets into this office is right in the head, to include the owner of a pig (whose appointment is just before Lauren's) which has a "special talent" of eating kittens and puppies (a fact that makes the hog's owner beam with pride). Lauren has a pet dog named Spiro, which only she can see. Gabrielle's scene made me crack up and was worth waiting for, even though it doesn't last more than a minute. It's too bad that she was only in one scene, but it was absolutely hilarious, especially in conjunction with the scene that preceded it. As for the movie, it was actually better than average for a family entertainment film, despite the utterly ridiculous plot twist about the dog being kidnapped.

MEMORABLE LINE: "Would ya stop lickin' yourself?" - Lauren
