FRASIER - "COOTS AND LADDERS," SEASON 11, EPISODE 17, MARCH 16, 2004 | ||||||||||||
ROLE DESCRIPTION: Gabrielle plays Willa Haver, a girl who's been stealing Frasier Crane's workplace parking spot. When Frasier finally tracks her down and likes what he sees, he asks her out - only to be politely shot down.
OVERALL IMPRESSIONS: Gabrielle wasn't in the episode long enough to form an impression as far as her performance - her appearance last about a minute - but it was nice to see her in a show with such a high profile. The episode itself started out consistent with the high standards of the show, but took a nosedive towards the end with a cornball ending more suited to "Three's Company." APPEARING HERE AND ELSEWHERE WITH GABRIELLE: This is the only one of Gabrielle's credits for which I can find no entries whatsoever in this category. If you know of any, please drop me a line at [email protected]. TRIVIA: Fans of "Cheers" who are interested to learn what Norm's wife Vera looks like (her face was never shown on any episode) can sort of get their answer here: Bernadette Birkett (who plays Janelle) in this episode) is the real-life wife of George Wendt, and she actually did voice-overs as Vera in a few episodes. Another point of interest along these lines: Wendt and Gabrielle both appeared in "Rupert's Land." Lastly, this episode features the last call to Frasier's show that you see in the series. |
