| January 10: Yay for Saturday! I had to work 3 pointless hours in the morning, then I came home, ate, and went out with Shannon, Nicole and Sophie to Lindsey's bellydancing event. It was so grand! Lindsey had ended up inviting like, 30 people, so we had a lot of us trying to find seats together. We ended up taking over one row, row 5, as much of is as we could. I'm not sure where everyone else was sitting. Sean came! I have no idea if that's how you spell his name, but it's how I spell it for him. Haha. I'm still grateful for Sean, he's awesome. The bellydancing lasted for 2.5 hours, but it was so cool and so much fun. I'm planning on taking lessons as soon as FG is over. After, we all drove to the Mongolie Grill, and for people like Sean and I, it was scary. I mean, we had no idea what we were doing lol. But we figured it out, and I had my first drink of the night, a rum and coke. The last one I had was better; I plan to stay away from that drink for now on. We drove on to the bar from there, go us, and met up with Shannon and them eventually. Nicole had gotten her this cool crown with fur and blinking lights, and she wore it all night long cause it was her birthday. Well, when she got there, it was 12:01, so it was her birthday. I bought her her first drink of her birthday, a tatoo cause you know, she's never had one and they're so good. I also had one, second drink. We were all dancing together, when Lindsey looks at me, rolls her eyes, and says Chris is standing over there, and waves vaguely. I kept dancing, lol. He eventually came over and danced with us, damned right he's not going to sit all night long! We lost Shannon, and found her again (crown helped) just like we lost a whole bunch of us all night long. Oh well. At one point, Shannon and Sean got me on top of the speakers, man those are high! I helped Shannon find people who hadn't bought her drinks yet. Heh. I had two more as well, or rather, one and a half, cause Chris bought me another tatoo only I never actually finished it, oh well. We also danced on the stage, go us. Lol. I saw Dana again, I hadn't seen her in forever! It was cool seeing everyone. I wish I had brought my camera, haha, cause I mean, come on, Shannon on the speakers? So funny. And with the crown, even better. Oh well. But it was a fun evening, had by all, except maybe Shannon, who threw up. Heh. No. She had fun. January 9: I went to see Big Fish with my mom. It was so good! I was so excited. Even mom liked it, and she put up with all my squeals, so it's all good. She had better; I payed for her. Gee. Anyway, I loved it, too bad Steff didn't come, but she saw it on Saturday, so whatever. No pity! But yeah, it was good! January 3: We went out drinking again. Man I seem to do that a lot. Well it was me, and Shannon, and Sean, and Lindsey, and.. her friend, I can't remember her name off the top of my head. It was a lot of fun, but kinda scary cause there had been a stabbing not too long before, on new years, but looking around the bar, you never would have known it was so crowded. Sean was awesome, of course, and he totally saved me from one scary really drunken boy who came up to me and tried to dance with me.. so Sean saved me cause I had this really scared look on my face and I was like, aaaa, and he came up and started to dance with me, not scary boy but Sean, and I was so happy! There was this girl that came up to Sean at one point, and she wouldn't leave the whole night even after he told her that he was gay, she was all like, that can be changed or something and we wanted to save him from her but we didn't know how. Eventually she did leave though, yay! Lindsey introduced me to Chris after mentioning something about him and Courtney, but didn't really explain that part. He was nice, made me somewhat nervous though cause at one point Courtney and her friend and Shannon left, and Sean was off somewhere else, and it was just us and I was so like, nervous and scared and all that stuff, you know? But it was ok he was nice it was all good. He asked for my phone number at the end of the night, and Shannon saved me by saying 'she has a boyfriend' and dragging me away. Which kinda sucks cause he seemed nice so I didn't want to hurt him or anything, but I suppose I did. January 1: In the morning, we all went out to Denny's or somewhere to eat breakfast. There were a lot of other hung over people there, I just laughed at them hahah. Lea claimed she was still drunk, and with how much she had to drink, I believed her. Heh. We hung out at Drew's house until 3 or 4 or so, then went to Lindsey's. From there on, we hung out, ate something else, then went to her mother's house for the post christmas party she was throwing. It was so much fun to see people I hadn't seen in forever, like.. well I saw Skillet the week before but it was only for like, 10 mins so that didn't count. But I saw Amy and Naomi and Megan and Janani and like.. everyone! It was fun. We made a gingerbread house, and man, that was fricken hilarious. Can you imagine former IB students making a gingerbread house together? It was like... 'ok, let's make sure everything is aligned', and 'ok, let's make the gumballs color coordinated!' fricken hilarious. But we finished it, and it looked awesome. I got to play with the icing, mwaahahah. Just Naomi and I stayed over, but the three of us had a blast. We watched Dirty Dancing, something I had wanted to see for a while, but hadn't gotten the chance. We also stayed up late. I was so tired! But it was worth it. December 31: Happy New Years Eve/New Years! I hope everyone had a good New Years, I did but mine was kinda rushed and all. I got picked up by Lindsey around 4 or so, we headed over to the mall and met up with her new friend from work, I don't remember her name but she's really nice. We shopped for a skirt for her, as well at material to make masks out of. It took two stores and a short drive, but we made it and got all the stuff we needed. Then we headed back to Lind's house, hung out, ate a supper her half brother made, waited for Lea, and then made our masks. We were making masks because that night we were going out to a New Years Eve party, masquerade, held at the Farside. I wore my too cool medieval dress, and we all made awesome masks. I felt like such a dork walking into the party at like, 11:45!!!! (who knew masks were going to take so long?), but everyone who was there were so nice, and so many guys complimented me on it, so I didn't care soon enough. Lea and I tried to get drunk before 12, but although it kind of worked for her, it didn't for me. I met some cool crazy people, Vanessa, she was awesome! Lea and I met her in the washroom, and she told us about this date rape drug someone had slipped into her drink a couple of weeks back or so, and it was so scary but so informative, we really appreciated it. She was so drunk, and so much fun. We danced together, the three of us, and some boys, which leads me to Sean. Sean is this cool funky totally gay so much fun boy, which is why we were there, cause he was one of Lindsey's friends. He had invited us. He was lots of fun. And then there was Joey, someone who almost fell off the stage, but who we managed to save. He was so cool. And such a good dancer. Yeah gay boys!! The bartender was so nice, he was great to me and Lea, Lea hugged him when we left, and I would have done the same had I found him. The DJ complimented me on my dress, so I liked him, he was so nice and so much fun. Everyone there was awesome, and man, you feel so safe surrounded by gay boys! My first kiss of the new year was given to me by Vanessa, on the cheek. I wish I had gotten her number or something, she was so cool. But I think she lived in Edmonton. Hehe. At one point, I expressed to Linds that it was my goal to get Lea dancing on the stage. I just had to suggest it to Lea, she totally did it without me pushing her. I got on the stage as well. It was great, Linds got pictures, I'm scared about that lol. We left around 2, much to Lea and mine's dismay, and headed over to Lea's friends house, Shad and Drew. We found them winding down, the nerve, haha. I spent a very uncomfortable night sharing a couch with 4 other people, I was so cramped. I think I slept about an hour's worth. Bleh. December 25 and thereabouts: Merry Christmas! I had an awesome Christmas, so I hope everyone else did as well. My friend Steph came down with her family, and we spent Christmas here at my house. Change of pace for us, I assure you. I missed not being in BC, but I had fun nonetheless. Christmas holidays itself is a tad blurry, because I worked a lot and then I spent time with Steph when I didn't work and slept and spent time with my family and stuff. But it was fun. Steph and I went to see LotR, and I ran into like 10 people I knew there. It was crazy; kinda wierd, cause it was all people from last year, but it was so much fun. They didn't stay for long; LotR was sold out when they got there. We had gone so early to see it, and still the first show was sold out when we got there. But we saw it and Steph loved it and it ruled so it's all ok. We never got out to the bar when she was here, she was only here for like, 4 days, and I had to work so much in that time. Oh well, that's ok. We had fun nonetheless. One night we went out with Shannon, and we were supposed to go sledding, but that didn't happen. I did, however, meet Mike. Oh this was on Christmas day. He scared me. So scary. Bah. We watched him and I think his cousin play a video game for like, two hours, so boring, then we watched Sleepy Hollow. That's my new movie; I watched it like, 4 times in a week. Hehe. So good. Yay Johnny! |
