Here it is, my latest project. Originally spawned by a desire for a European Ford Escort Cosworth, I picked up a copy of Performance Ford (Euro mag), and fell in love with the Sierra Cosworth. Mainly because most of the goodies can be put on the American import Merkur XR4Ti.
The project will begin when I find a suitable solid roof XR4Ti. I plan on going all out, not sparing any expenses. I want to use the many genuine Ford of Europe parts.
Engine and powertrain mods:
255 LPH fuel pump, Kirban Adj. fuel pressure regulator, 42 lb. injectors. Until the future Volvo / Saab DOHC setup, a Ranger roller cam, ported E6 exhaust manifold, T3/T4 hybrid turbo, inline intake manifold, T-5 tranny, larger intercooler (still deciding which route to take, but for now a Volvo 760), bypass / blow off valve, MAS air system, restore the factory A/C (Wish me luck!), LSD rear end, all new PolyFlex bushings, Koni or Blisten suspension pieces, front and rear strut tower braces, custom programmed chip, 3" custom exhaust (no rice pipe). Eventually, Volvo or Saab 2.3 16 valve DOHC with a straight T4 turbo with hallow titanium shaft, bearings, the works, custom intake and exhaust manifolds will of course be needed.
Exterior mods include:
Bumpers, Cossie grill, Cossie wing (no rice wing), Cossie hood with vents, euro fenders with side markers, rear windows (I will attempt to remove the pillar splitting the rear side windows, and putting in a single window, if all goes right that is), body cladding, lights (Also may consider using Sapphire tail lights, I saw it done in Carlisle very nicely), Euro rear bumper, Euro emblems, Cosworth wheel and tire size (205X50X15), Mustang Bullitt gas cap.
Interior mods:
Sierra Sapphire dashboard, Cossie steering wheel, Euro clock (have to have Euro time, right?), Automater gauges, Bullitt peddles, Bullit shift console ring.
Some other ideas I am pondering are Mustang SVO seats, shaved rear hatch.
I do have some experience with my current "Sierra". I have done things like an engine swap, clutch job, heater core replacement, Euro lights (8 hour job), 3" exhausts, hack-job intercoolers, and multiple radiators (thanks to the raccoon)
This will not be a daily driver by any means, but also it will not just sit in the garage colleting dust from fear of driving it. Also, it'll be so much fun seeing the faces of the local wannabe Ricer's. One of those, "What the heck is THAT?! Do I hear a turbo spooling? RWD? ...that's a FORD?!?"

I am somewhat thinking about making it into a #7 Texaco replica
