This is the homestead that I was born and spend the early years of my childhood. In returning to this home still standing tall. I seemed to relive the past, Though I was only four years old when I left, I had this funny feeling a sense of being home. Although now an older home according to the standards it still held a strong feeling of welcome. It in itself holds warm memories planted deep in my heart always being a part of me.
The homestead of Viviani is where I spent important days of my life from 1967 to 1970. At this time this home came to be. Home of my family, it hold special feelings for the dear people so far away. The beauty of the area is reflected in it's warm decor. Plant by plant brick by brick my mom, dad, sister and brother created a dream home, and it today receives friends and guests who travel from abroad to visit.
On my recent trip I would wake early each morning to the warm rays of the country sun and to the shrieking sound of the cocks crowing in the early hours of the morning, seaming to invite you to face another glorious day.Opening the windows one could marvel to the quiet surroundings of the countryside. The olive trees and the and ripe fruit trees majestically facing the warm sun. I would stand in wonder to the splendid view and whisper to myself," this is truly God's country".
The homes give one the impression of complete solitude, yet in knowing the people we realize that it is the complete opposite. Often in the evenings we would gather with friends within the gates of our home, and spend pleasurable hours in complete tranquility enhanced by the peace and quite of the area.
