E collocato in una abitazione di Castel Folignano , la sua presenza conferma la notizia storica della infeudazione di Castel Folignano aal famiglia Tibaldeschi da parte di Bonifacio IX avvenuta nel 1394.

The town of Castel Folignano preserve traces of a rich history and traditions. It is positioned to border with what once was the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies.
The Castle (of which the ruins are preserved) constituted a real incumbent fortress on the valley picena. The remains of the Castle and the actual ''Palazzo" with Bell tower and clock are remains of the beginning of the last century.
Historical signs of Castel Folignano are found dated back to 1263 when Manfredi, king of the Two Sicilies, ransacked it with his troops.
According to the tradition the inhabited center rose around on the hill of S. Cipriano a presumed monastery of the Benedictines in the period of the Sacred "Romano Impero ".
It can be confirmed by a coat of arms of six balls of the family Tibaldeschi that is found in a Renaissance house that again dates to 1557 (today the parish house).
Following the war between Spaniards and French, Castle of Folignano was ransacked and the stones used for nearby reconstructions (according to Carlucci).
The economy of the Suburb was founded on agriculture and on the commercial activities of handicraft shops.
Castel Folignano had deep religious traditions. There was a deep devotion to S. Cipriano, protecting of their children. The historical motivations to the origin of such veneration are not known even if the saint covers such a role in other parts of Italy or in the world.
On the occasion of the party of the Saint, that is on the second Sunday of September, hundreds children accompanied by their parents participate in the procession to receive the blessing with the relic of the Saint
