Connection

        There are some similarities in these 3 photos. " Images helped record the horror in memory after its concrete signs had disappeared" (Zelizer 430). They all show the unfortunates happen in our lives and some of them are inevitable. These photos may cause unpleasant feeling to the audiences. For the photo of starvation, the size of the object is large when comparing with the photo of the 5 firefighters as these 2 photos try to catch audiences' attentions by difference means. For the photo of starvation, the photographer tends to attract audiences' attentions by the poor little boy and for the 911 photo, the photographer tries to direct audiences' attentions to the stunning disaster conducted by the terrorisms. For the photo of the Princess Diana's funeral, the photographer intends to catch audiences' attentions from the big coffin and the 5 princes who were in black suit. The 3 photos are sending the same message - agony is everywhere in our world, no matter you are rich or poor. The sadness and horror can be recalled again and again by looking at these photos and they are also evidences of atrocities.
