| The European Program A.C.R.E. (Additives Chemicals Rheology Estimate) |
| The principal objective of the European Program A.C.R.E. is to improve knowledge on the efficacy and the methods of applications of the chemicals additives fire retardants. Its main goal is: - to study the efficacy of fire retardants on various scales of observations of the vegetation, - to make a model of aerial dropping of fire retardants with its penetration in the vegetation, - to provide directives for an optimum application of fire retardants during the fight (particularly in term of addition of gum and viscosity of the product). |
| Within the European Program A.C.R.E., I occupied the functions of: |
| Group Leader Responsable new techniques of production and fire retardants application by helicopters in the fight forest fires. |
| These days, in spite of the secondary effects on nature, it is always used chemicals fire retardants to limit the action of fire. These products were created and adapted in order to use them specifically for the dropping by planes and water bomber helicopters. |
| With the use of the FEODROP concept, the rheology of products is different. Thus, the adjuvants are not necessary. |
| First tests of pyrolyse were carried out in laboratory, followed up tests of application in flight and on the ground. All these tests proved to be conclusive and promising for the conception and the manufacture of this product. |

| It is the reason why we had the idea to create an ecological product, entirely biodegradable by preserving the same efficacy. The product would be, at the same time: - a dispersing agent (for the planes), which would enable to improve the efficacy of present products, - a fire retardant mixed with other natural products. The product would be: 100% ecological, biodegradable and respectful environment. |
