The Prevention
The Procedures and the Device
- To inform and to train the authorities, the professionals and the public
- Training and practice of specialized personnel with the C.B.R.N. defence
- Surveying and Anticipation by methods and materials of C.B.R.N. detection
- To establish adequate plans of intervention of urgency
- To foresee the availability of the antidotes in sufficient quantity
- To strengthen and to pool national stocks
- To dispatch quickly the products and the materials necessary on the site
The possibility of a chemical, biological, radiological or nuclear major contamination or characteristic accident (industrial) or intentional (war, terrorism), represents these days a potential threat for the various areas in the world.
Whatever the degree of probability of such an event, the specialized Gouvernments and National Organizations get settled and placed adapted devices in order to reduce at most the scope of the damages and the disastrous repercussions which could cause such situations.
The current context of vulnerability reinforces the need for having of an effective system of defence and an operational device adequate in order to ensure the protection of the population and the environment over against the risks of C.B.R.N. (Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear) contamination.
The Material
- Detection, measuring and control instruments
  of the contamination: dosimeters, detectors,
beacons of mobile supervision, vinyl rollers,
  test and detector papers
- Samplings and Salvage: atmospheric
samplings, nippers of remote salvage, lead
  containers, dustbins with carring bags,
  water vacuum-cleaners
- Meteorological materials: weathercock on mast, anemometer, thermometer
- Diagnosis: technical index cards and various data banks
- Beacons
- Protection for the skin and breathing: specific equipment for the individual
protection for the personnel intervening (gloves, heavy wears and protecting
  masks), dosimeters
- Mobile decontamination station
- Treatment of urgency for the persons: first aid kit
- Treatment of urgency for the material and the environment: application of
aqueous and foaming solutions which reduce the effects of the contamination
