Oracle Maximizer ... You don't need a big server to get started Companies can spend tens of thousands dollars on training and Oracle setup. A few hours of training can help you or your company. The Oracle Financials, Fusion and ECommerce suites use the Oracle developer tools entirely to customize applications. Many third party applications like SAP use Oracle as a database server This is very ideal for clients that wish to have a broader understanding of the Oracle software suite. If your company has 9i or 10g database, you have access to a wealth of software in addition to the RDBMS. This includes a bundled Apache server in which you can install dozens of modules including PHP. You also have access to a Java environment including J2EE and JSP. If your company is thinking about using ASP.NET and you already have Oracle installed, you may want look at what Oracle has to offer first. When you already have Oracle 9i or 10g you have a full Web environment! Oracle has most of it's technology freely available for evaluation purposes even for Windows. Check the Oracle Technology Network. Oracle 10g Express and 10g instant Orient are free downloads and free for Production use. You may need to register with Oracle OTN in order to use many of Oracle's software. We recommend using a Windows platform. It's easier and quicker.
Requirements: Windows: XP SP2. 1GB of memory and 20GB of free disk space. Installation may be done on Windows 2003. We don't recommend this installation be done on Vista or Windows 2008. We are currently testing on Vista. Administrators access is required. Linux: The Oracle maximizer will not be installed in Linux.
