Exercise 1
I cut the rose out with the point to point selection from the freehand tool. feather value 1, antialias checked. I choose this selection cuz it was the easiest to control with a trackerball. (for me anyway) I changed the green background to a multi gradient but I dont remember its name..sorry :)..I just played with the angles until it suited me. :)

Exercise 2
The gradient I did was one I made from a tutorial I was playing with the other day. I thought it was awesome. The gold gradient is set to radical, horitontal is 35..vertical is 48..repeats is 3..invert checked..saved as a JPG.

Exercise 3
My texture is frosted glass. Scaled to 36%..angled at 16..color count was 11,156 but after resizing it to 200x200 pixels it changed the color count to 6,891. hummm? that part confused me cuz I thought the color count counted the number of colors used, not the number of colored pixels. Saved as a JPG.
Uncompressed is 120,040 bytes.. compressed at value 30 is 6,143 bytes

Exercise 4
I took a picture of my nephew (aint he sweet?) Changed the carpet to a texture. It is landscape rocks scaled to 55% angled at 252. The wall and door I changed to gradient sunset, linear style, angle 179. It needs to be better blended but I havent gotten that far yet. I'm learning though! Saved as a JPG. Uncompressed is 202,540 bytes..compressed at value 30 is 15,278 bytes.
