This section covers everything used to go from one activity
to another.
First, you get the briefing from the CIA director.
Next, you can use the services of the CIA (Data Section,
Intelligence Section, Crypto Branch). Data Section will be
available everywhere, as might the coded messages (you can use a
laptop anywhere). Actually, the only things useful might
be local scan, international scan and accuse double agent.
Active wire taps and crime chronology could be part of the data
section.
You can also go to another location in the city (CIA office,
airport, hotel, suspected criminal houses). I will show
the city plan as per the driving activity, but zoomed out, and
you can click on the known locations.
At the hotel, you can sleep though the case (give up) or
visit the lounge (get clue for this city but increase alert
level).
At a suspected criminal house, you can either tap the phone
lines, break into the building, watch the building to follow
criminals from allied organization to their houses.
At the airport, you can go to other cities in the world.
I don't intend to limit the map to a continent or two. It
will show the entire world map. I will have to add a few
organizations for Asia and Australia. The mouse cursor
will change into the hand cursor when you hover a city.
Finally, when you finish a mission, you get your final score and
debriefing. Done:
Left to do:
- CIA office
- Hotel
- Airport
- Outside criminal house
- Debriefing
Ideas for improvements:
- Airport: Show activity level on the world map.
- Airport: Tool tip naming the known clues and suspects
when you hover on a city name
- Airport: Limit the destinations to cities with known
activity, to prevent players from reloading and going
directly to the city of a participant of the plot when you
never saw that city name while searching for clues.
- Hotel: Instead of visiting the lounge, you have to go
see your contact and might get ambushed if the city alert
level is too high.
