THOSAI

Ingredients : Makes 10-12 thosai
1 cup uncooked rice
1/2 cup blackgram dhal
1 1/2 teaspoons dried yeast
1/2 cup warm water
1 teaspoon sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons ghee
1/4 teaspoon mustard seeds
1 small onion, chopped finely

MUTTON KORMA

1. Mutton – 1/2 kg
2. Onion – 2
3. Green chilly – 10
   Garlic – 5 cloves
   Ginger – 1 medium piece
4. Cinnamon – 1 piece
   Cloves – 4
   Cardamom – 4
   Aniseed – 1 teaspoon

BIRYANI RICE (NASI BIRYANI)

However, I would like to advise, for the first time making it, divide all ingredients into half. The reason is because, you may make mistakes on the first batch. It is an educational, relatively easy to follow recipe and delicious.  Have fun trying it out yourself.
Ingredients:

• 1kg basmathi rice (soaked for 4 hours with diced carrot, almond, cashew and raisins)
  

MURTABAK

Murtabak is a wrapped roti canai filled with minced meat curry with eggs and onion.

Ingredients:
300 g minced meat (mutton/beef/chicken)
2 large onions, diced 1/2 cm
1 stalk celery, finely chopped

ROTI CANAI

Ingredients :
600 g plain wheat flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup warm water or milk
1/2 cup ghee or margarine
1 egg
1 teaspoon sugar
