On Tuesday we pass the RORC committee boat Ocean 3 on station for the mid-Irish Sea report line between Lands End and the Fastnet Rock. Envy at their fully enclosed cabin and facilities is tempered by the knowledge that they will be having to wait there from before the arrival of the first fast yacht yesterday until the return passing of the smallest and slowest boat days after we are finished and in the bar.

Porpoises or dolphins (still trying to figure out which!) join us to surf by the bow, demonstrating how effortless it can be if you're meant to be there.

No, it's not Jaws, despite what Ben thought, though diving in still wasn't very appealing.
  `
Anonymous man (hopefully!) demostrating how to avoid making a mess of the head (loo) in rough weather.

Characters are (from right) Peter, Ben, Adam, Mr. X.

'Self Portrait in Rain' by Mr. C J Muir. With those rugged hansom good looks, surely a catalogue photo for Simpson Lawrence, whose jacket is being sported?

Typically, as with Lands End and the other notable sights, before we reach the Rock, the sun sets. Still, nice piccy.
