Hats and Caps

Caps & Hats or headgears are an element of clothing which is used to wear on head. It serves in a number of purposes like some people use it for protection from cold, contaminants, dust, heat, rain, sunlight etc. Some peoples use hats and caps as fashion, some use it for religious purpose, some in medical and some in even hiding the baldness.

Hats:
Are different from caps as they have more detailing and are very elaborate, they have a brim, a crown like structure and are larger than caps. Many Hats are specifically for men or for women's while some kinds of hats are used by both sexes.

The parts of a Hat includes a crown that covers the top of the head, a brim which is attached to the circumference of the hat, a sweatband which lies inside the hat and it touches the wearer head so that the sweat can be absorbed, a hatband which can be a made of leather, string or ribbons which helps to hold the hat.

Hats vary in length, width and shapes because some people have round heads and some have oval.

Caps:
Are generally made of soft cloth and have no brim. They are designed in such a way that it gives protection from the sun to the head and eyes by having a visor or peak in front. Caps come in different shapes and sizes. Headgear these days are mainly the article of fashion, they have attained a number of different shapes and designs.
