Following the round six victory over Wickham both league coach Derek Kickett and reserves coach Jason Oliver provided these reports to club magazine Falcon Flyer.
Well, we are six games into the season and we have three wins under out belts. I am happy that we are in the top four but I know that we can improve in a lot of areas. The players are trying to play a different style of footy than last year and it will take them time to adjust to my style. Hopefully soon we can get our best side out on the field. It is pleasing to see the players who are giving 100% and not throwing in the towel at any stage of a game. This is always a good sign. It is obvious the players are starting to enjoy their footy much more and the result will look after itself. It is great to see our supporters at our games. Keep coming along and cheering for us.
On a personal note I would like to thank the Karratha Falcons Football Club for appointing me as coach. I am enjoying my time here and really look forward to the rest of the season.

Well, the footy season finally arrived and, after a good pre-season, the results are starting to show. We have begun the season with five wins and just one loss. While we have had five wins, we are yet to put four quarters together and play the consistent type of footy we know we can. Who knows what we can achieve when we do play four steady quarters.
A pleasing aspect of our team is the way some of the young guys have stepped up. As well, the leadership being demonstrated by some of the senior players, who I put a challenge to at the start of the season, is great. To all the guys, keep up the good work, keep training hard and together we can achieve that ultimate goal at the end of the year.
