| It was a perfect start to the season for new Falcons coach Derek Kickett and his charges as the Karratha side overcame a determined Wickham at Bulgarra Oval. | The Falcons moved into second position on the North Pilbara Football League ladder following a 13-goal thumping of Dampier at Windy Ridge. A second half blitzkrieg saw the Falcons kick away from a hapless Sharks outfit that had showed plenty of heart in the first half to take a slender lead into the long break. With backman Milo Thornton leading the way and Brian McGrath starring up forward the Falcons never looked like losing after half time and ran out eventual winners 22.7 (139) to Dampier 9.7 (70). Reserves Falcons 5.16 (46) defeated Dampier 4.9 (33). |

| Karratha Falcons suffered its first loss of the year at the hands of Port Hedland in a mistake-ridden match at Bulgarra. With both teams below full-strength, the Rovers settled earlier and kicked away to a three-goal lead in the first quarter. That lead was extended to 32 points at three quarter time before a last quarter fightback saw the final margin brought back to 29 points. A disappointed Derek Kickett pointed to yet another slow start by the Falcons line up which saw the game almost out of reach at quarter time. Rovers 12.16 (88) defeated Falcons 8.11 (59) Reserves Falcons 8.8 (56) defeated Rovers 4.4 (28). |

| A 63-point thumping at the hands of a rampant South Hedland sent the Falcons back into mid-table. The Swans, dubbed "quiet achievers" following the game, held a slender two-goal lead at both quarter and half time. But any chance of the Falcons winning the game were dashed in the centre square with Swans winning the lions' share of clearances in the second half. The black and whites used the ball well in the corridor with Robert Price proving influential as no less than 11 Swans put their names on the scorer's sheet. Best for the Falcons was Steve Kane who provided his team's only midfield option, while Michael Holland kicked four goals from limited opportunities.. Ruckman Robert Sparkman tried hard all day while Derek Kickett and Sean Cowan also had an impact. Swans 19.15 (129) defeated Falcons 10.6 (66). Reserves Falcons 10.8 (68) defeated Swans 3.6 (24). |
