I can knit! Pom pom making is a different story
Well I finished my first "real" knitting project on Saturday. It's the first thing I've made that is not based on a giant square or rectangle shape, and that required actually following a pattern. The whole thing was much easier than I thought it would be. In fact the hardest part was making the pom poms, which should have been easy I know. So, without further ado, I present to you my official Kittyville hat, modelled by my gorgeous Nanna. You can read more about my hat making adventures here.

I love my Nanna, she's the best!

We did something spontaneous on Saturday night! P and I were watching Iron Chef (thanks D!) and the ingredient was strawberries. It was an all dessert night and some of the dishes they were making looked so scrumptiously good. The challenger made a strawberry sorbet, and all of a sudden I had a craving for sorbet, preferbaly watermelon which is my current favourite fruit. When I voiced this to P he suggested we go out for gelato. At 9:30 at night. That may not sound like a big deal, but I felt it was a breakthrough in the spontaneity department. And the sorbet was mmm, mmm good.

My body seems to be constantly aching now that I am back into doing Pilates regularly. I thought it was supposed to get easier with time, but today, my 4th time in 7 days, it seemed harder than it has ever been before. My muscles are all achey now, and I keep telling myself that if I just stick with it, I will get stronger/fitter and not feel as much pain. I hope I'm right.

And finally, I got to hold Tanesha at church yesterday. She is the youngest baby I have ever held (four days old!). She is just so beautiful, I think I fell in love with her. She's so tiny. Makes my womb all achey :)

Reading
The Power of a Praying Wife
by Stormie Omartian

I requested this book for Christmas and my parents delivered. I hope this will result in wonderful things for our marriage and for P's life.

Stitch 'N Bitch: The Knitter's Handbook
by Debbie Stoller

This book is on my rather extensive Amazon wishlist, so I decided to check it out at the library first. So far, I'm loving it.

Watching
K-PAX

I've seen a few Kevin Spacey movies lately. This one was on TV last night and caught our attention. We had to record the end though, because we are old and can't stay up past 9:30
