At your home institution, you will sign up for
classes at Edge Hill. After you arrive, you participate in an
orientation session where you find out the classes you'd chosen are on
different days, different times, or don't exist at all. You have to meet
with people from each department you have a class in and get their
signat ure.
For most classes you will not need books.
Classes are usually divided into a lecture and a seminar which may
or may not be on the same day.
Don't count on having any real weekly homework for the most part,
assessment is usually based on one big essay and sometimes in-class
presentations.
the paper in England is longer than the American college-ruled type. It
is called A4. It will not fit into American binders or folders. Pictured
to the right is the LRC, or library, where you will do most of your
essay work. |
