Breeding

Euclide don't mate for life, but they can. It's not so uncommon that it's shunned, it's just uneeded, and Euclide prefer not to do it because it lowers one's chances of continuing blood lines and spreading genes. Euclide do have a resitriction, in that they can only breed within a Cast. Therefore Euclide must be cast members in order to produce any offspring.

Euclide give birth to 1-3 live young at a time. This number is determined by a dice roll. Once the babies are drawn up, we'll give you a choice of one free bebe. The rest will be available for adoption through the forum. In the case of one cub, and two owners, a coin flip will be used to determine which parent keeps the cub. If neither parent desires it, it will be available for adoption. If there are 2+ cubs, and Mem so desires to keep one, she's allowed take first pick. They are, after all, her work.

Breeding between two different types is the most common way to produce Patchwork Euclide. This is an uncommon occurance, as Patchwork are rare, and not so desirable as far as perfected bloodlines come. To determine whether or not a Euclide will be patchwork, we roll a die again. 6 indicates patchwork, 1-5 will have the Euclide share the trait of either the mother or the father (Which is determined by a coin toss. Heads = Mother, Tails = Father).

Same sex pairings can mate and produce offspring, but it is a rare and unusual occurance. This can only happen if one, or both, of the pair have been 'blessed' (or in some cases cursed). Cursing and Blessing is explained in it's own section. Both Male/Male and Female/Female couples can produce offspring.

Keep in mind that Mem is allowed to turn down any breeding she wants. If Mem decides not to allow two Euclide to produce offspring, she probably has a reason for it. As breeding is free, you are not allowed to whine to her about it afterwards.

Mem is currently not allowing breedings between different species (Eg. Euclides/Amuni, Euclides/Defore, Amuni/Defore). These have been done before, and traits from Amuni and Defore may show up in Euclide (eyes with pupils and irises), but Mem is not allowing it to be done 'officially' as of yet.
