| Tuesday, May 11, 2004 [5:43pm] Had a nice chill weekend. Spent Friday night with Brandon eating $5 little caesar�s pizza and doing some unsuccessful mother�s day shopping at the promenade (although I did find a pair of $8 pants for myself!). I hadn�t been to 3rd street in awhile. It brought back some good memories. =) We checked out Westside pavilion the next morn and I successfully found a nice little marcasite bracelet for my mama cuz she loves marcasite. Sat afternoon, I had a lot of fun as I attempted to play some outdoor bball at the San-Tai-San tourney in Little Tokyo. I was supposed to play with the North High homies, but I ended up playing with my dad�s coworker and his son and nephew cuz they needed a chica. Surprisingly, the FIA/VC team took 2nd. =) After bballin, we headed over to Marukai and Grant clued us in on $.99 Arizona drinks. We spent the rest of the night chillin at grant�s dirty apt. watching the Kings lose and talking about the supposed gloom of singledom. We came to the conclusion that of our eligible bachelors (and bachelorette--to include miss Karin) Shannon should not be complaining because she has too many options and how grant is well�let's just say, lacking in opportunities. Let me know if you're interested in meeting an intelligent, semi-athletic, anime-obsessed, hitchhiking, Bruin male. Oh, and he�s part of the Engineering Society�nobody can pass this offer up now! HA! Monday, May 17th, 2004 [3:52pm] wow. I just got smashed by my midterm. I spent last week reviving the xanga (in addition, created a new �Erin & the Brandon� account) and consumed in pre-health busyness�long meetings up the wazOO, cooking & potlucking, completed the 5K ucla run/walk (new goal for next year: LA Marathon. HA), hung out at the Getty on a lovely Sunday afternoon�and devoured dorm food at every chance possible, therefore, leaving little time for studying. But I think even if I studied plenty, I would have still FAILED miserably because I never would have even thought to study half the stuff that showed up on the midterm. But no time to sulk. I need get going on the studying for my next midterm. But as you can see, I am making little progress. Once I am done with all this midterm madness I am going to: 1. sleep 2. go out and get pleasantly intoxicated 3. have a picnic at the beach 4. visit the Getty and actually see the exhibits (yesterday, we just hung out in the immaculate garden with geometric shrubs and trees) *edit: 5. figure out how to escape For now, I will have to do my best to deal with my dependency for caffeine and delirium from lack of much-needed sleep. |

| Chilled at the beach Sunday morning. Spent the rest of Mother's Day with my momma. The family came over for a lovely dinner and some delicious food. smooches to my mommy for being so great! |
