| Friday, February 20th, 2004 [7:47pm] How ya'll feelin the new layout? I know it's plain, but it's a huge step for the technology-challenged erin. This thought was prompted by a conversation with my roomie, Karin: Ok, so if a person is a full-time transgender female that uses hormone replacement therapy but hasn't undergone vaginoplasty and considers herself attracted to straight men, what do you classify the sexuality of the man she is dating? Is he straight...gay...unaware of what's down there...? =/ This is just one of the reasons why I absolutely LOVE our internship at APAIT--it keeps the wheels in our heads turning. It's like sex ed/LGBT studies/health ed/asian am studies all rolled into one. I swear I learn something new everytime I'm there, although most of the time it's lingo about interesting sex stuff. And, we get credit for outreaching--at nightclubs! Tuesday, February, 24, 2004 [3:17pm] Save the date! What: SSK [Safer Sex Kit]-making PARTY =) When: Friday, March 5th Hosted by: Karin & Erin on behalf of APAIT [Asian Pacific AIDS Intervention Team] Come hang out at the peach tree while doing good for the community by putting together safer sex kits that will be distributed at APAIT outreaching events. We can even give u a little condom-use info spiel if you'd like. =) And there'll be some FREE food & drinks for ya too. It's not difficult to put the kits together, but we need man/woman power! Let me know if you're interested in helping out!
