| Thursday, March 11, 2004 [6:15pm] a HUGE thanks to those who came over to put together SSK's. sorry we ran out of lube. i know you guys were looking forward to slaving some more (at our SSK sweatshop, as Courtney-the-pro-condom-ripper calls it). hanging out afterwards was nice & chill (and somewhat stinky, no thanks to shari and her gas issues). sat nite @ kenji's was great--got to see a bunch of high school friends (go saxons! N-O-R-T-H, North High! ok, only higa will prob relate to that. everyone else will think i'm a freak). my new favorite drink: ume-shu. =) geoff got tipsy for once and he was like the happiest thing ever! too bad i get so lethargic and sleepy when i drink cuz apparently geoff had to practically push me out of the car when we were home cuz i wouldn't budge. oops. the next couple of weeks are going to be hectic--projects & papers & finals. BOO. omg, i cannot wait until 3/25--last final and NERD & BEP concert!!! pharrell & chad--will you marry me?! and heading to tahoe for a weekend of boarding the morning after! Monday, March 22, 2004 [3:54pm] so i've been a hermit from the world for the past week, drowning in work...but thankgoodness for wonderful people or else i might have gone mad. people who contributed to a good past week: Jeannie and TuanI couldnt have been more luckier to spend my first all-nighter with people any cooler. we were going off of 3 hours of sleep from the night before for our project. by morning we were delirious. the people at dennys stared at us and our amusement with ourselves as we ate our French toast slam and not-so-meaty all-meat breakfasts at 6:30am (it was definitely too early--the parking meters were still free!) I dont think Ive worked so hard on an assignmentlet alone anythingin my life. we spent countless hours on the damn thing and i'm glad all our hard work paid off during our presentation. we would love to show anyone our 40 page paper of research or our powerpoint presentation on The Model Minority Myth and its Effect on the Mental Health of Asian American Youth. come on, I know you want to read it! The whole project was actually a great learning experience for me. I feel so bad for all the stressed out kids we surveyed. I hope they hang in there. And if I didnt learn my lesson about doing surveys (or NOT doing surveys) I administered another one at my dads office last Friday for my paper that was due today. oh how I love asian am and "TIALOD. aas 10 next qtr, guys! haha! Loriand her random phone call. I miss you girl! Good luck on your adventures in montana and asia. I know youll do great. I'm so happy for you! Brandonfor being my personal chef and making some bomb ass chicken katsu last nite while i slaved on my hypertension & JAs research paper. okay, back to studying my beloved physiological science and our INNER EAR. =P |
