Grace Like Rain
It's time to focus my little spotlight on a new artist and have I got a cd to spotlight for you! Todd Agnew is a new, very noticeable face on the Christian music scene. Todd brings a blues/jazz element to his songs that make them easily recognizable and fun to listen to. This style is skillfully used to recreate that classic Christian song Amazing Grace. While some may fear that you ruin old hymns by redoing them with new styles, Todd has created an entire new song with his Grace Like Rain that I am eagerly awaiting to perform in my church. Todd also takes the more modern chorus Kindness and literally jazzes it up. Even if the rest of the cd were ho-hum these two songs would make it worth every cent.
However, the rest of the cd is anything except ho-hum. This album is full of catchy guitar, rhythmic drums, and lyrics that are easily caught on by listeners. If you enjoy songs with deep lyrics this is the artist for you! Todd is a very skilled songwriter and I hope we see more of his songs in the near future. I recommend Todd's music to anybody who wants new worship songs or enjoys music with a blues flavor.
