Welcome to the fresh and new NewsCenter! Since change is inevitable, especially in the world of computers, what could be better then keeping track of at least a tiny bit of that change! That's what this page is all about. Here you'll get to read about updates on the site whether an update to one of my monthly featured sites or a new addition to the site. For news related to the Music Department go visit the MusicNews room right next door. That's where you can find newly added lyrics, new artists in my collection and much, much more. I know if you're reading this you're probably bored, so I'll try to keep the updates interesting. Updates are never regular and of varying length so be sure to stop back and check for changes soon!

Well I've finally managed to finish the color updates I started four months ago. Life has been crazy as of late. This is also my first update on the site from my new home in Minnesota. Yes, thats right I am now working and residing in the Land of 10,000 Lakes. I have started my new job as a mechanical engineer working in the field of ethanol. I am in the midst of a great deal of change and I'm finally starting to get my feet on the ground after my move.
As usual I have many more ideas for the site then I currently have time to implement, but life gets boring when there's nothing new to do. This page remains a hobby so I don't always have alot of time to spend working on it. I hope you like what you've seen in your visit and that you will bookmark my site and comeback to visit often. _K

Lots of updates for everybody to see! The updates aren't quite complete so you'll some stark differences between pages. But the changes will propagate across the entire site soon. I do hope you find the new colors and appearance appealing like I do. This page is a constant experimentation so the design is always changing morphing as I find new styles that I like. There is a new Artist Spotlight awaiting your perusal. I also have several new additions to my music library so you know there will be new lyrics coming soon. I'm remembering how much fun it is to work on my site so hopefully the changes will keep flowing. Peace homies. _K

Wow, we have a new record for longest time without any updates. Almost nine months since the last time I updated the NewsCenter. That's just a little too long. In that time period there have been many many changes. I finally figured out Firefox so this page is now compatible with both Firefox and Internet Explorer. The color scheme changes with my mood and taste. There is a completely brand new page to view. You can see this page by clicking on the True Americans link on the right. I have many many more ideas for things to add yet. One of these days I just may put something on my Opinion Page. Also, a warm welcome to my good friend Professor Enigma who's site you will find linked on my main page. I'm sure some sort of change will occur soon so check back often. Until my next, very likely tardy update, keep it real. _K

Hey where did the past two months go? Here it is the end of June and I haven't written any updates. I do know that there were some May updates, but most of those focused primarily on the Music Department. This month I've refreshed the intro page and just done some minor maintenance here and there. The biggest news is the update and total reworking of my September 11th page. Be sure to check it out and let me know what you think. I hope to get a few more changes in during the summer months, but that all depends on me dreaming up new content that you the surfer wants to see. It's the patriotic time of year so be sure to get a sunburn, salute the flag, and set off enough fireworks to shake the country! Until there is more news to report, I'm out. _K
<<4.15.2005>>
I really shouldn't write these news blurbs here, I just end up doing the opposite of everything I say.
First off, obviously, the site has a new look! I didn't really plan developing a new look and feel for the site, it just sorta happened. And so now you have a whole new look to enjoy, or hate, depending on what you think of the redesign. I always enjoy feedback about all aspects of the site so feel free to drop me a line and give me your opinion on the new look.
Besides the color scheme and other minor changes, it really is all the same as before. It just looks different. It's amazing what a fresh coat of paint can do! I am still completing some changes on the individual lyrics pages, but that's not a huge deal and will get finished when it does.
In other news, my site is getting a record number of hits and it's all thanks to you! I don't really know who you all are, or how you found my site, but I'd love to hear from anybody who would take the time to drop me a line. And be sure to spread the word of my site to anybody and everybody you know.
There will be more news in the future I'm sure so stay tuned. School always keeps me busy so it may be a few weeks before I get another official update here. Peace. _K

Well it's Spring Break so that means it's time to party! And instead, here I sit working on my website, looking forward to a week of cleaning, homework, and partime hours at work. I have made time during break though to get some of these overdue updates completed on the site. I took a serious look at making Mozilla read my site correctly, and I've determined that Mozilla is just stupid and I don't care if it doesn't like my site. I'll say it loud and clear: use Internet Explorer to view my site correctly. If you can't or refuse to use IE for whatever reason, then you get to live with the messed up layout and fonts. Someday I plan on going to .asp format which I suspect will eliminate all issues with Mozilla, until then you rebels are out of luck.
In other news, obviously the colors on the front page chagned again. I'm attempting to update my coding to comply with strict xhtml rules according to the W3C. It's not hard to do, it just takes time and figuring out what additional code needs to be added.
I'm always looking for new ways to make the site better and easier to maintain and increase the use of global stylesheets. I will likely make an attempt to move away from tables in the future, but we have to see how much work that will take yet. I doubt you can expect any major changes to the site as long as I'm running html. I'm saving any and all major changes for when I move to using .asp format coding.
Okay I'm sure I'm boring most of the readers by now so I'll hush about the technical stuff. I fixed the missing nav bars on the Bio Page, not sure how that happened, but hey, it's back. I probably won't get anymore updates completed till May, when the semester is over, so until then. Peace and God Bless. _K

Happy New Year! I hope you all had a great celebration over the holiday season and find yourselves ready for a new year full of new possibilities. There are all sorts of new possibilities for my site, but with school and work I'm not sure I'll get the time to make the changes I want. I am going to work on getting this site to work with Firefox since it appears to be growin in popularity. It might take a while, so bear with me. I hopefully will have some new pics to add within a few months as well.
Otherwise there are lots of other changes you have probably already noticed. The new seasonal themes for the main page are fun for me and give some variety to the gray I'm always using. Who knows, I may even get around to adding my opinion page before the semster is over. 2005 is a brand new year, who knows what is in store for me, you, or this site. Stay tuned everybody. _K

Well I've finally managed to get some serious changes effected throughout the site and any regular visitors will notice the changes. There are random changes to the fonts and sizes, the links, and of course the new navigation bar. Although the overall page may look approximately the same I'm in the process of working towards making the site look as seamless as possible from page to page. I'm also moving away from the use of tables as structure elements in my webpages. This has many benefits and I hope will make the site easier to update and change in the future.
I have removed my Featured Site page in the process of changing things, I think that is pretty much dead in it's current form. If it is ressurected it will be vastly changed. There is a link to the future site of my opinion page, but that is still a work in progress. I need to refine some of my opinions before I start making them public.
I know I still need a new pic for the Gallery, but I've heard rumors of there being a more recent one around, I just have to get my hands on it.
I've got many more changes yet to work on and improve, so hopefully you'll be reading about them here soon. I hope you had a happy and safe 4th! _K

It's been a busy few months around here and that is evident in my lack of changes on the site. But I'm still here and I'm formulating new ideas for the site. I'm working alot these days so it make take some time to see any changes on here. I have lots of ideas, but making the ideas come to life is another story entirely. I'm thinking about a color scheme change, but that is alot of work so I'm saving that for another time and another day. I have all sorts of ideas for my site and if I ever get time to bring them to reality then you may not recognize the site. I hope you have a great summer, and watch out for tornadoes! -K

Greetings fellow web travelers. Since yesterday was the 29th of February and that only happens once only four years I figured I should make comment in here somewhere about it being a leap year, who knows if I'll get a chance to mention it next time it comes around.
Being the geek that I am I downloaded Mozilla for the heck of it recently and noticed that it doesn't operate in the same way as IE does. To be honest it makes my site look alot different, bad in some places. I know hardly anybody knows what Mozilla is, but for those of you using it, stop being geeks and use IE to view this site. Or in other words: This site best viewed using Internet Explorer 5.0 or better. Sure I might figure out how to make Mozilla read my page correctly, but considering how many people actually use it, I'm not worried at this point.
A few repeat visitors may notice some design changes, especially the menu bars. I think it looks alot better and you can expect more similar changes in the future. I'm constantly working on new design ideas for the site. You never know what might show up next. But until the next update I bid you all a fond farewell! -K

Two whole months since my last update??? Good grief I must have been ill. Well here it is the end of February, and it's a leap year! We've been buried in snow and we've melted most of it in the past two days. I've made a bunch of design changes! (again) I'm pretty sure you can see the major changes, but others may not be so obvious. I've been studying site designs alot lately and getting lots of ideas which I'm trying to implement here. Who knows what things may look like in a few months. I am in the process of trying to get a new picture of myself, I know the on here now is bordering on ancient. There's a whole bunch of updates so knock yourself out finding them all. More will arrive with time I'm sure. Later all. -K

MERRY CHRISTMAS!! Be sure to remember what this season is all about about! I pray each of you will enjoy a peaceful Christmas with family and friends where ever you may be. Peace and joy to each of you from the author of all joy and peace. -K

Just had to leave a quick note here at the end of November about the most recent news about the site. Eleven months ago I set a goal for 2500 hits by the end of the year. Those of you who have read the archives may have noticed when I surpassed that goal. And now, over the long holiday weekend we managed to double my hits since then. That's right, the site surpassed the 10,000 hit mark sometime Saturday. That's approximately 7500 hits since January, and I've got a whole month before the year is over. For all of you who have visited and made this site popular thank you. I'm looking forward to many more hits and changes next year. Peace all. -K

After a long month of torturous classes and back breaking labor I finally got a moment to do some updates here on my site. Having six stitches in my right hand kinda helps keep my laid up, but that's besides the point. Some of you might notice small stylyistic changes, but only if you are a repeat visitor. I have added some simple text ads, not that I'm making any money off them, but I figure if I can get a few clicks here and there it would be cool. Thanksgiving is just a few days away. For those of you traveling like myself, be sure to be safe and be thankful this year for just how blessed you are. None of the Future Idea pages have come to fruition yet, maybe over Christmas break I'll have a little time to work on those, but it's hard to say. Where ever you are for Thanksgiving, whatever you do, take at least a moment to be thankful. After all, that's what the day was designed for. Peace friends. -K

After many hints and minor upgrades over the months my site has undergone it's first major redesign since it was first born! And the changes are vast! You can find links on the right to two entirely new pages added in the midst of the reconstruction. Return visitors will notice the new navigation bar at the top of all and bottom of most pages. They will also notice the new colors added here and there, particularly the yellow, which I think looks good with the blue. I've replaced most of my dividers with solid lines and even made a few vertical ones as well.
For the geeks out there I'm using tables galore to make it all look nice. Stylesheets are the only way to go. Especially with as many pages to maintain as this site does. I'm still working on adding more javascripts to the pages, but the ones I'm working with take time.
I wish I could get some php on here.
For the future watch for another brand new department, Kyle's Opinion. Call it an editorial page, where I'll post brief (or lengthy) editorials by myself about whatever I may choose. You'll also find links to other editorials I agree with or think are good reading.
I know this was a really long update, but there's so much to report! They'll be shorter in the future I promise. Till then, -K.
