Medieval Forestry

  • Laws of the Forest
So, you think we have it bad with short-term prison terms and meager fines for timber tresspass and hunting illegally? Its a good thing you didn't live in the 1100s then, because you could have had your hands cut off, or even hung for such offences. Forest Laws are certainly not new, and stretch back to when the first protected forests were created, probably around 3500 B.C.

  • Creative Anachronism
Information about how forestry fits into the Kingdoms, Baronys, and Cantons of the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA), dedicated to researching and recreating aspects of medieval life and times.
