Improvised Medical Equipments
The improvisation listed below are based on articles that are found in every camp, or that are readily accessible and obtainable. Some of them may be put to other uses than those indicated and there are many things in the camp site that are serviceable. These supplementary improvisations should be regarded as an invitation to use your imagination. The creative climber/mountaineer, in the absence of professional equipment, exercise his ingenuity in utilizing suitable articles when an acute need arises, or when unexpected developments make it imperative to resort to whatever means are available. Such impromptu inventions, when successful, should be noted, described, and made known to other climbers/mountaineers. Thus one cultivates the art of improvisation.
