FIRST-AID
INTRODUCTION

Help prevent accidents by being mindful of the possibilty of their occurrence at any time and at any place. Remind others of this and of the serious aftereffects which often accompany even in a slight mishap.
First-aid may alleviate pain, forestall an extension of an injury or an aggravation of an illness, prevent shock or reduce it's degree, save a limb, or even preserve a life.
Be prepared to render first-aid whenever and wherever an accident or an emergency occur.
Learn to improvise serviceable articles out of appliances and supplies nearest at hand and to use them advantageously.
Know what to do and how to do it and what not to do in order to make your help effective. In other words, do what is necessary and avoid doing too much.
