| In my search to come closer to God, I was looking for a structured method of progress. Finding none, I decided to write my own. This is not the only way, just something that worked for me. The emphasis is on learning my Faith by studying one portion of it and then PRACTICING it for a period of time before progressing. It is based on James 2:14 and James 2:18 "What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith, but no deeds? Can such a faith save him?" "Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by what I do." I understand we are not saved by deeds. But true faith will result in actions. Someone said "You can ride a dead faith as far as you can ride a dead horse." Progress through the site at most one page a day. Resist the urge to jump ahead. In order to learn the Faith, I'll suggest PRACTICING the material presented for period of time before progressing. It is through LIVING the Faith that we truly will learn it. This will seem very slow to many. It helped me to supplement the process with other readings from the Bible. Keep in mind the following verse if you are concerned about the process being too slow. Heb 10:16 "This is the covenant I will make with them after that time, says the Lord. I will put my laws in their hearts, and I will write them on their minds." Rest assured you can ask the Holy Spirit for help in any situation and you will receive the help you need. The process will be as scriptural as possible in order to prevent any controversy. |
