Day 9
Hebrews 10:16
"This is the covenant I will make
with them. After that time, says the Lord, I will put my laws in their hearts
and I will write them on their minds."
Is 65
1. I revealed myself to those who did not ask
for me; I was found by those who did not seek me. To a nation that did not call
on my name, I said,
‘Here am I, here am I.
2. All day long I have held out my
hands to an obstinate people, who walk n ways not good pursuing their own imagination.
13
Therefore this is what the sovereign Lord
says:
“My servants will eat, but you
will go hungry; my servants will drink, but you will go hungry; my servants
will rejoice, but you will be put to shame.
14. My servants will sing out of the joy of their
hearts, but you will cry out from the anguish of heart and wail in brokenness
of spirit,
15. You
will leave your name to my chosen ones as a curse; the Sovereign Lord will put
you to death, but to his servants He will give another name.
Jer 1
4. The
word of the Lord came to me saying,
5.
“Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you, before you were born I set
you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”
6. “Ah, Sovereign Lord,” I said,
“I do not know how to speak; I am only a child.”
7. But
the Lord said to me, “Do not say, ‘I am only a child.’ You must go to everyone
I send you to and say whatever I command you. Do not be afraid of them, for I
am with you and will rescue you,” declares the Lord.
Jer 17
5. This is what the Lord says:
“Cursed is the one who trusts in
man, who depends on flesh for his strength and whose heart turns away from the
Lord.
6.
He will be like a bush in the wastelands; he will not see prosperity
when it comes. He will dwell in the parched places of the Desert, in a salt
land where no one lives.
7.
But blessed is the man who trusts in
the Lord, whose confidence is in him.
8.
He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by
the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It
has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.”
