The new evidence below suggests Mary died six weeks after her son Henry Clement was baptised. Henry took charge of the child, son of an Irish soldier called Henry Clement, whose where abouts was unknown in 1767.

Reference P328a OV 3/5/1 contains Daniel's story given under Oath.
When Daniel Vines got into trouble in St Aldate, Gloucester, on 1 Aug 1767, his 6 year old grandson Henry Clement was with him, and both were sent back to the Overseers at Tetbury.

Mary Vizard, Rhouton Vizard and Simon Vizard had a Settlement Certificate showing they come from Newton Wilts, reference P 328a OV 3/1/2 dated 31-Aug 1763.
This is the only Certificate which includes people with different surnames:-
Newton in Wiltshire own and acknowledge Mary Vizard, Rhouton Vizard, Simon Vizard and Joan Hall to be Parishioners legally settled in our Parish.

Voding

John Voding, of Wotton Under Edge, baptised his daughter Mary 17050319.

Vokins

Hopeful Vokins, a Quaker and tobacconist, purchased a house called The Ferns, in the middle of Long Street in 1703, and it was purchased by the woolstapler Edward Tugwell in 1763. Hopeful Vokins died about 1730, and was possibly buried in The Quaker burial grounds established by Nathaniel Cripps about 1685

Hopefull Vokins' Will was signed 25 Feb 1729, when he was ill and feared he would die, instead of marrying Hannah Thorpe, daughter of Thomas Thorpe of Wallingford in Berkshire. His kinsman in Tetbury is Joseph Lockey, also a tobacconist, son of Edward Lockey, and also Ann Lockey, daughter of John Lockey. His servant was John Hopkins.
