one and surprised everyone around her with how well she coped. Judi is a
fighter and tries to do her best by her daughter. Over the years she has had
a few relationships, but none of them were serious. Judi would like to gain extra
responsibilities at the hospital one day, but she doesn’t mind if she

History: Season 1: At the start of the season, Judi was single, but she did have feelings for Russell Elliot, one of her co-doctors. They kissed at Chardonnay and Gabe’s engagement party, but nothing happened after that – until New Year’s Eve, when Russell shows up on her doorstep and kissed her. They began an affair, with Russell promising to leave his wife, Camille. He couldn’t leave her because of troubles with her niece and sister. But when Carla, a nurse at the hospital,
walked in on the pair, Judi saw how angry Russell was, an she realised that
he probably would never leave Camille. Things cooled off. While her affair with Russell was still
taking place, Judi started to fall for one of her former patients, Alex
Blake. He turned up at her apartment and they kissed, but Alex kept his distance
because he was embarrassed about the kiss. But then, after seeing him at the
hospital, Judi asked Alex out. They met, but she felt guilty about her
relationship with Russell, which was still unresolved. Judi realised that she had to
choose and decided that she wanted Alex. But as Judi turned up to finish with
Russell, he kissed her and she couldn’t stop herself from sleeping with him,
just as his wife walked in the door, though neither Judi or Russell realised
this.
