| For too long I've let you use me, I played along with your scheme, Knowing how much I loved you, not caring about the fee. You tell me how much I mean to you, And I'm always there to meet your needs, But when I need a helping hand, A shoulder to help my sanity to keep, I reach for you to help me stand, And you turn your back and let me weep. Now in hopes my heart will mend, I shall walk away from my one true friend. My frist mistake was loving you, Second, thinking you'de love me too. For now I'll retreat, go back to my land, And attempt to find myself again. Maybe someday I'll meet a man, Who will love me for who I truly am. And when my life is picture perfect, Maybe you will realize what you had. In my time, I've loved and lost, But you're the one it truly cost. - M.
