What is love? I mean... what really is love? Have you ever thought about it? There are many different types of love. There is the love between a mother and a child, between siblings, maybe between friends. But more specifically, I'm talking about the love between a man and a woman, not related, and brought together by fate. Webster defines love as 1) to feel affection for, 2) To adorn, 3) To find irresistable. However, if you ask different people that question, you are likely to get very different answers. Some people will tell you love is merely an emotion, a feeling, or even a state of mind. Others believe love is a place, a bond, maybe a fantasy. My personal definition would be that love is an emotional bond that takes you to a fantasyland where you are floating on air with your head in the clouds. It is a state of mind where only one person matters, and hopefully that one person is looking at you the same way. Love is a place where all the troubles in the world slip away and the only thing you care about is focusing all your attention on that one person. A wise man once said, "When you love someone, you never have a guarantee that they will return that love. If love never g love, or at least what they thought was love. Just remember, for every storm you endure, you are that much closer to the sunshine. Whatever you do, never take the sunshine for granted, you might even find that it is worth the storms. |
