| Since the unemployment tax is being raised by 450%, if I get laid off do I get 450% more each week than previously? So instead of the maximum being $440 it will now be $1980/week? And what is the validation behind a 10% increase in state income tax and a 38% increase in the past 5 years? How do I address my concern/questions to the state regarding this? I am tired of the government not being held accountable for its inability to balance a budget and prepare for unexpected expenses. The solution to everything should not be raise taxes. Im ready to write some letters. The state income tax has risen from 2.80 percent to 3.07 percent. The unemployment tax has risen from .02 percent to .09 percent. |
