World Environment Day
The history of Spanish stamp
collecting has been scattered since olden days with issues dedicated to naturalist and
ecological themes. Those well known to stamp collectors are flora and fauna, botany,
natural landscapes and characters, often not well known except to scholars, which have
become historical witnesses by being placed on stamps, due to stamp collecting
remaining and being passed on from generation to generation. The celebration of the World
Environment Day has given a reason for the Spanish Postal Administration to issue this
theme with an effect whose motive reproduces the logotype chosen as a symbol of the policy
for Water and the Environment to be followed in the years to come. |
