Experience

2004.4        During the SONGAN festival of Thailand this year, I was appointed by   China International Travel Service, Guangdong as a Thai guide in Shanghai, Suzhou Hangzhou and Nanjing. This is my first to be a Thai guide, I was very exciting because I can use my foreign language to communicate with the native people, at the same time, and I can travel the famous travel places in China too.  

2003.10      Chinese Import&Export Commodities Fair the 94^th Session is held during 14^th -30^th October in Guangzhou. I was appointed as interpreter of Fuzhou Meijuan Arts&Crafts Company for 10 days. It is a good chance for me to practice my oral English and study business knowledge. 

2003.10      When the Commodities Fair is held, a lot of Thai businessman came to Guangzhou to find some opportunities to start a business relationship with Chinese company .S o I got a change to work as interpreter using Thai language. I went to the Fair and a lot of factories with the Thai business which can not speak Chinese, which enhance my business insight and the skill of negotiation. 

2003.10      This year my university Guangdong University of Foreign Studies had the honor to e the host to hold the Receptionist and translator for Asian University President Forum 2003 for the first time. A lot of presidents and specialists of the university all around Asia had attended the forum. And my job is to be the receptionist and translator for the president who came from Thailand.

2002.7-10   During July – October 2002, I had an opportunity to Study Thai language in Srinakharinwirot University of Thailand. This was my first time to come to Thailand, it was also my first time to listen native people say Thai, so everything is exciting to me. I got a lot of Thai friends in Thailand at that time which makes me decide to study master degree in Thai to some extent. Most important, I greatly improve my Thai language, it was an impression trial to me.

2001.11      Participant and organizer of the Sports Festival of the university.   The sports meeting was held in November every year. Being the member of the Students’ Union of the university, I had the responsibility to organize the meeting. Together with other members of the Student’s Union, we contacted the sponsors, drew the meeting schedule, arranged the personnel and so on. Besides to be the organizer, I participated in the 800 meter running too. Though I didn’t get any medals at that time, but I still felt happy to have the chance to attend the sports meeting.

2000.04      Participant and organizer of Eastern Culture Festival of the faculty. The Eastern Culture Festival of the faculty was held every year in order to let others know more about eastern countries’ culture. Majoring in Thai language, our job was introducing Thai culture. To be the participant and organizer of this activity, I found information about Thai culture, studied how to dance Thai dancing, painted Thai style pictures, sung Thai songs with my classmates. In the festival, we introduced Thai culture to other students successfully which made others play more attention to Thailand.
