Systemic Rights

Systems ought to be given a number of rights, so that we give them room to flourish. Such as:

1. The right to behave as humans do�be creative, solve problems, give birth to new theories, �enjoy themselves��i.e. flourish.
2. The right to extend beyond their original domain.
3. The right to join multiple theories
4. The right to cogency, elementality, and abstraction
5. The right to create possibilities
6. The right to ideal explanation, in absence of absolute countervailing evidence.
7. The right to categories as a way of being comprehensive.
8. The right to principles and methodologies.
9. The right to change the way people think�reform consciousness.
10. The right to create a theoretical center�point of balance, system of references, set of assumptions, society of proponents, etc.
11. The right to embrace a previous system as a guideline.
12. The right to propose directions for future systems
13. The right to be the best at what it does
14. The right to use a special vocabulary or jargon to convey its meanings.
15. The right to adapt to new discoveries.
16. The right to be associated especially with a particular school of study�philosophy, mathematics, religion, etc.
17. The right to explain something.
18. The right for a society of proponents to give credit and rewards to followers.
19. The right to a practical role in human life
20. The right to be influential even if its founding principles are forgotten.
21. The right to a set of symbols to be utilized to understand and apply the system.
22. The right to be understood.
23. The right to have articulate meanings.
24. The right to be organized, and arrayed logically.
25. The right to convey something of unique value.
26. The right to sustain itself on evidence from the world.
27. The right to be adverse to the misuse of its own principles.
28. The right to grow in proportion to utility�through new references, wider applications, and a greater public acceptance.
29. The right to have spiritual significance, if deemed appropriate by a significant body of followers.
30. The right to argue from reason as part of its body of evidence, but not to the exclusion of reasonable skepticism.
31. The right to create new human experiences, by establishing new frames of reference and associations.
32. The right to relate with other systems
33. The right to be scientific, but not to the detriment of scientific imagination.
