| Itsu sat in the middle of her garden, surrounded by flowers of every imaginable color, shape, size and variety. Itsu inspected each plant, checking it's helth and growth progress. She also kept a close eye out for unwanted weeds and grasses. I'm so glad Deborah thought of this. Having a garden is so wonderful. I really feel as if I have a connection to these plants. I don't think I have ever enjoyed something so much. Just as she was thinking this, her bondmate walked through the trees. "Hello Itsu." The shrape looked up from her work, smiling at her bondmate. "I've got something here for you!" Deborah produced a letter from behind her back, and waved it back and forth in a teasing manner. Itsu jumped to her feet, careful of her plants. *Oh! What is it? Is it from the Bishen Realm? Open it! Open it!* Deborah laughed at the dragon's eagerness. "Yes, it's from Bishen Realm." She opened it with a little flourish. "It reads: 'Dear Itsu and Deborah. This letter has been sent to inform you that Itsu's Shantel will be held two days from now at the Bishen Realm.'" Itsu let out a whoop and scrambled over to where her bondmate stood. *It's time for my Shantel! I'm so excited!* Deborah laughed again, and watched her bondmate race through her woods in her excitment. Two days, and Itsu would be a full grown Bishen. *** Itsu and Deborah arived right on time for the Shantel. As if they could be late for Itsu's own Shantel. Itsu was darting looks about, keeping an eye open for Desiree and her brother. When they arived, and greetings were made, they took their places to wait for the Shantel to begin. Not to long after they were all settled, Jarod blew the horn to anouce the beginings of the cerimoney. The Kailan swooped out of the air and landed neatly on a rock. After a few privet words with Jarod, he called Toshida forward. Toshida was presented with the Glass Swan and explained it's abilities. When he returned Desiree, Deborah, and Itsu congratulated him. Two more dragons were called forward and presented with their new, special items. And, last, Itsu was called forward. She walked forward bravely to face the Kailan. *To you, Itsu, I give the Frozen Bloom. This crystallized image will grow flowers in winter and snow, and it gives its user the power to summon sunlight, even at night, although this is a bit more difficult. It can also stop plants in their growth, allowing them to remain at a particular stage for quite some time. Use this wisely.* Itsu accepted her Frozen Bloom with respect, making a bow to the Kailan before returning to her bondmate and friends where she was properly congratulated. *Go now, our children, for your are now full Bishen. May happiness and adventure wait for you.* And with that Kailan flew from his rock to speak with someone. About that time, Indyana, along with Pierre, arived. Indyana moved among the newly full Bishens and their bondmates, speaking to each in person before moving on. When Indyana aproached Itsu and Deborah, they noticed she was holding something in her hand. "Since you have taken such good care of your bonded dragon," Indyana said, speaking to Deborah, "I would like to present you with this." Smiling, she handed Deborah a golden star on a chain and a small plaque. "Congratulations, you have won Bishen Realm's Gold Star Parent Award!" Deborah's mouth opened in surprise, then her face light up with happness. "Thank you so much! I'm so happy!" Giggling, she bent down to show the new things to Itsu who oo-ed at the sight of them. Then, Deborah clutching her star and plaque, Itsu clutching her Frozen Bloom, left saying their good byes to everyone, thanking Indyana and the Kailan. "Well, I have to say, that was one of the best days I've had in a long time!" Deborah proclaimed. Itsu nodded in reply, gazing at her new object. It had been a very good day indeed. |
