| 1) Points tabulated for each horse and rider combination entered. 2) Exhibitors should use consistent spelling for Rider's Name and Horse's Name throughout each show and the entire season. 3) Entry must have more than 10 points to receive year-end award. 4) Points from walk-trot, warm-up, novice rider, green horse, and similar limited classes count ONLY if entry wins points in six or fewer regular classes. 5) When entry wins ponts in both a breed type class and a similar age group class at same show, ONLY points from higher placing count. 6) Points for placings: 1st- 10; 2nd- 7; 3rd- 5; 4th- 3; 5th- 2; 6th- 1. 7) Show committee reserves right to split or combine age groups or breed types when entries warrant. 8) Any winner for whom we do not have a complete current mailing address will forfeit their award. 9) MM Saddle Club is not responsible for errors resulting from exhibitor not specifying age group or breed type on entry materials. |

| We encourage exhibitors to use consistent spellings for Rider's Name and Horse's Name throughout each show and the entire season. When we keep the record of points on the computer, the stupid machine can't tell that "Zippity Do Dah", "Zippy", and "Dude" are all the same horse -- so unless our tabulator knows the horse personally and happens to catch the inconsistency, this would be recorded as three separate entries. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| GENERAL RULES | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| [1] WEATHER: Show will run rain or shine. Show management reserves the right to temporarily halt or cancel portions of the show when dangerous conditions threaten or footing becomes unsafe. [2] ENTRY OFFICE: On show day, entry office will open approximately 2 hours before show starts and will remain open all day. When overnight stabling is available, entry materials will be available the evening before the show. Exhibitors are strongly encouraged to submit their entries in advance via our online entry form or e-mail. (Many public libraries have computers with internet access.) [3] CLOSE OF ENTRIES: Unless required otherwise by sactioning organization rules, entries close for each class when that class is called into the ring, except. Jackpot class, dc in which entries close when first age group of that class begins. [4] SIGNATURES: Every exhibitor must sign a liability release form. If the exhibitor is under 18 years of age, his/her parent or guardian, if, if not available, the trainer, must sign a liability release form on the minor's behalf. [5] COGGINS TESTS: All horses on show grounds must have a negative Coggins Test within 12 months of show date. Original test papers must be presented at the entry office with a photocopy we can keep for our records. [6] AGE OF RIDER: Age of rider shall be determined by rider's age as of January 1 of the year of the show. [7] NUMBER OF ENTRIES: If fewer than three entries are received, the show committee reserves the right to cancel a class or combine like classes. Large classes may be split and two sets of ribbons awarded.Criteria for dividing large classes to be at show management's discretion. [8] CALL FOR CLASSES: Classes will be called promptly. First call during preceding class. Second call given when call for line-up is given for the preceding class. Last call when gate opens for class to enter arena. Class calls may be modified depending on size of preceding class. Exhibitors are requested to enter the arena promplty when called into the ring. Class calls are given as a courtesy, but it is the responsibility of each exhibitor to be at the in-gate and ready to enter the ring when classes are called. The PA system is to be considered a courtesy, and show management will not be responsible for unexpected failure of electronic equipment. [9] TACK CHAGES: A reasonable attempt will be made to accommodate requests for tack changes. Please indicate your tack change requests and circumstances on forms available in show office. Exhibitors riding more than one horse in a class should specify which horse they prefer to ride first. [10] CANCELLED CLASSES: In the event show management cancels any class because of weather, lack of entries, etc, entry fees for cancelled classes will be refunded. [11] REFUNDS: Entry fee refunds made only when class is cancelled or horse/rider is injured and can not continue in show. Stall cleaning refunds given when assigned stall is STRIPPED TO THE FLOOR. See show office for inspection and refund. No clean stall refunds for Tack stalls. [12] OVERNIGHT CAMPING: Unless specified otherwise on show bill, overnight camping is permitted. No campfires allowed; however gas or charcoal grills may be used. [13] PARKING: Please park in designated areas only. See show bills for specific details. [14] STALL ASSIGNMENTS: We recommend making stall reservations in advance to ensure availablity. Special needs (stallion, very green horse, very large horse, etc) will be accommodated whenever possible. If stall requests exceed stalls available, those excess requests will be put on a waiting list, and in event of cancelations or no-shows, will advance to the confirmed stalls list in order of receipt. Any overnight stall not occupied by 9 pm will be considered a 'no-show' UNLESS exhibitor has SPECIFICALLY informed us of their intention to arrive later. [15] PETS: NO LOOSE DOGS!! All pets must be contained on a leash or in a crate. [16] CONDUCT: Any act of discourtesy or disobedience to the officials on the part of the owner, contestant or contestants, will disqualify the horse and rider for the remainder of the show and the owner shall forfeit his or her entry and other fees. The management reserves to itself the power to remove any owner, contestant, contestants, or horses from the show without being liable for compensation. |
