GAMES & SPEED EVENTS DIVISION RULES IN THIS DIVISION NOT YET FINALIZED
Appointments
1. Attire: Hats are optional. Sleeved shirt (no tank tops or bare midriffs), long pants, and boots are required. Protective headgear may be worn without penalty.
2. Equipment: Saddles are required except when event is specified as a bareback event. Bridle may be of any type with standard bit, hackamore or mechanical hackamore. Judge may prohibit the use of bits or equipment he may consider inhumane or unsafe. Martingales, tie-downs and boots/bandages are permitted. Flat leather bats may be used, but no whips, crops, over-unders, etc permitted.


Speed Events - (Barrels, Poles, Speed Dash, Jumping Figure Eight, Pennant Race, and other Timed Events)
General.

1. Management shall designate the order in which the entries shall compete.
2. A rider shall be considered "on course" once any part of the horse crosses the starting line.
3. Starting (timing) line will be clearly designated.
4. Electronic timing equipment will be used.

Penalties.

Off course (failure to follow pattern) - disqualification
Fall of horse or rider - disqualification
Spurring, striking or hitting horse forward of cinch - disqualification
Excessive use of spurs, crop, bat or romal - disqualification
Obstacle knocked down - 5second penalty for each knockdown
Breakage of equipment which prevents completion - disqualificati
Games & Fun Events - (Egg & Spoon,Musical Sacks, Australian Pursuit, other events that do not involve being "timed")
