Background Information:
Earth is the third planet from the sun.
Of the three closest planets to the Sun, the Earth is the only one that has a moon.
We live on the only planet that we know of that has large amounts of oxygen and liquid water, things
that are necessary for life as we know it.  Seventy percent of the Earth's surface is covered with
water.  The surface is under constant change from the weather, and geological activity; which is in
sharp contrast to the other rocky planets which have changed very little for millions of years.

We have many satellites that orbit the Earth.
