Rock climbing has always fascinated me, and I have no plans pulling in the ropes in the future. For me the experience of beeing in the mountains is the most important thing,  not pushing myself on a crag, even if that sometimes can be fun too.

Norway is one of  the best climbing areas in the world, and I wish I had more time to go to all these awesome places.... Here is some of the places where I've been a lot of times, and if you need some information about these regions, I might be able to help you if you contact me.

Nissedal, Telemark:

Here are routes up to 600 meters in excellent, solid rock and (with a few exceptions!) well protected. I have done several routes here, and among others I strongly recommend "Mot Sola", "Hægar", and "Spionfürhe."

Hurrungane, Jotunheimen:

Norways highest alpine area is the "craddle of mountaineering" in the country. I haven't climbed any walls here, just done some easier routes to the highest peaks, both summer and winter. In my eyes, the most fascinating thing you can do in Hurrungane is the long traverses of the narrow ridges, which give you the opportunity to scramble for many hours at high altitude with half the part of southern Norway under your feet.

Romsdalen:

Most famous for its big-wall scenario around the Troll wall, this spectacular area on the north west coast also have numberless stunning peaks and easier routes to choose from. Store Vengetind, Trolltindeggen og Romsdalshorn can simply take your breath away....

Lyngen, Troms:

This is mainly a winter-climbing eldorado, since the rock is very loose and not ideal for climbing in summer. It's unfortunately far away from home, so I've only been to two of the most famous peaks there, Otertind and Piggtind.

Molladalen, The Sunnmøre alps:

After all, this "Mini-Chamonix" just outside Ålesund is my favourite spot in Norway, with hundreds of  pinacles, great walls, stunning peaks and fantastic view over mountains and fjords. The routes are easy to find, and most of them are between 3 and 6 pitches.

Krabi, Thailand:

This tropical climbing paradise on extremely overhanging walls is surrounded by jungle, great beaches, sun and warm weather year-round. I was here three weeks in 1998/99, and I'm going back! For sure!!
