Seven Wonders of the North American Natives |
Many years ago, I first became aware of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World courtesy of Boys' Life magazine. There was this wonderful illustrated page that showed the Seven Wonders. I was left with two impressions, the first was that only one of the Seven Wonders was still in existence and second that they were far from my home in Oklahoma City. Then, a short time later while on a family vacation, I saw the Cliff Palace. I remember thinking that this should be a wonder too. Forward to the present. I read up on the Seven Wonders courtesy of the internet and became aware that there were many lists of seven. Seven Wonders of the Modern World, Seven Wonders of the Natural World, even a Seven Wonders of Kansas City. I then searched for the Seven Wonders of the North American Natives. I could not find such a list. So, I resolved to create my own. |
