Everything you always wanted to know about going to Supai but couldn't find anywhere else...

How To Get Here:

CLICK HERE FOR MAP OF ARIZONA

By Car - get to Arizona from wherever you are. Head to Northern Arizona towards the Grand Canyon. Since the Grand Canyon is the biggest hole in all of North America, there are signs everywhere for it. In fact, I highly recommend stopping by to see it while you're in the area. Anyway, once you get to Northern AZ, get on Highway 40. Again, this is the main drag through Arizona, so you pretty much can't miss it. From there, get your kicks and take Historic Route 66. Between the towns of Peach Springs and Seligman, you will head north on Indian Road 18. It's not a huge road, so you may have to flip a U if you pass it! From there, it's about an hour to Hualupai Hilltop where you will leave your car. Remember to fill up your gas tank in Peach Springs or Seligman as there is NO gas after that.

By Plane - Fly to Flagstaff. Rent a Car. See Above.

By Bus - If you're on a bus, I'm sure the bus driver will know where to go, and if he doesn't, have him read the "By Car" directions above.

When you get to Hualupai Hilltop, (note first picture on page), start walking through the canyon. After about 7 miles you will come to a fork. STAY LEFT!

View looking into Havsu Canyon from the trail into Supai. It is about 7 miles to the town from here, but fortunately today, the Kachinas, the cloud spirits of the nearby Hopu Indians, have brought clouds to cool hikers into the canyon.
Hikers pause, exhauted from the hike out of the canyon. They approach the most difficult leg of the hike: a mile of switchbacks scaling 2000 feet up the cliffs.
