Havasupai Indian Reservation

Everything you always wanted to know about going to Supai but couldn't find anywhere else...

"Make me always the same as I am now"

Havasupai Chant

Havasupai Indian Reservation is a magical place that forever changes the way one thinks about life. I have been there on nine occasions, and each time has been a unique and special occasion.

There is much information to learn before embarking on a trip here. It has been my honor to have prepared many of my friends for this sometimes grueling trip.

I now provide this site as a service to others who may one day have the opportunity to travel to this wonderful place. Please visit the link to a page I call "The Supai Club" - where you can send your pictures and stories of your adventures in Supai for possible use on this site. Check back often to see if your photos and anecdotes are chosen. The first photos, sent in by Laura and Jared of Las Vegas, are now up for viewing. More will be posted soon, I'm running quite a bit behind. Thanks for all of your correspondence.

And remember, wherever you go, there you are.

Havasu Falls, the most photographed of all the Havasupai Indian Reservation waterfalls, is a mere quarter mile from the hikers' campground and provides soothing relief from the grueling hike through the canyon. The travertine pools shown in the front of the photo are formed when the lime, or travertine, deposits in the water form damlike structures which create natural jacuzzis. Most of these pools were decimated by a huge flood which raged through Supai in 1993.
