| Design Brief
To design a light system that responds to an external trigger. Projects that would fulfil the requirements include:
Clap on and off lights.
Festive lights responding to sound.
Outside lights that use motion sensors.
Outside lights that turn on when dark.
Looking at the above projects, festive lights that respond to sound fit the design brief the best. The project has good commercial use and is more practical for this electronics project. Hence, I shall design a fibre optic Christmas tree that responds to clapping therefore changing the pattern the lights flash. The tree will respond using a microphone to change the way the tree flashes its light.
