As she slept, Spirit was swept off to a familiar place; A feild of stars and emerald green grass, where she was free to roam in her spirit's true form, a snowy white wolf. Her long legs carried her across the grasslands, until she came to a stop in front of something she had never seen in this place before. Laying before her was an egg, far larger then that of a bird or any reptile she knew. Looking to the skies, for that is where she and her peoples always found their answers, she saw the constellation of the great dragon. She knew that the egg was not there in physical form, and that it was most likely nowhere near her own body. But the spirits were telling her to find it, and that was what she intended to do. So the one the People of the Light called SpiritStar continued roaming through the realm of dreams with the thought in her head. Where was this egg? How would she get it? Would there be a challenge ahead for she and the dragon? Most likely. But she did not allow it to trouble her. The spirits and her ancestors would help her, so she should not worry. *** When Spirit awoke, she found herself far from her home in a secluded valley, where she and her people had taken refuge. Now she lie flat on her back, looking up, amazed, at a vast expanse of stars. There was something about these stars, however, that made her feel like they weren't ever.. gone. She was her tribe's shaman, and did much work with earth-based magic. Judging by a little bit of her connection with the great Mother of All, the sun should be past risen by now. But all that remained in the sky was Sister Moon. Immediately a thought came to mind. Perhaps she remained in the realm of dreams. But no, for she was in her physical human form, not a wolf like she would be. Yet--All the signs pointed towards that theory. The grass was emerald green, and almost gave off a light of its own, and the sky was full of night with far more stars than when on Earth. And completely surrounding it were the legendary mountains that were said to house the Gods, so tall that even if you walked for a Moon, you would not reach them, yet they remain huge in sight no matter where you are. Now Spirit looked to the sky with instinct, searching for an answer. Once again she saw the great dragon looming over her, and knew that this was where she would have to raise it. She had been right, the spirits had guided her to this place, and the shaman decided to trust them with her fate once more. Doing the only thing she could think of, she began to walk. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 Statistics SilverValley |
