-NAD T742
50wrms x 5
DD, pro-logic and DTS
This receiver is an upgrade from the old Denon AVR1603.
It has:
ample power
5.1 decoding etc
5 channel equal power
low subwoofer crossover
good sound
nice clean black design
-Tannoy Saturn S6LCR
6.5" dual concentric bass reflex bookshelves
These speakers were an absolute steal at $600 they usually cost $1400,
i got a great deal due to a tiny "DING"
in one of the boxes.
As for the sound they are amazing, the clarity is very good, and they
show incredible detail, but they really excel in imaging and
dispersion, there is an excellent paper on this here
from the Tannoy site.
One of my favourite things is bass and these have alot of it for their
size, they produce more bass than any other speaker of its size.
They handle a bit more power than my Denon can give, but still reach
more than adequate volume levels for my needs.
-Tannoy Mercury MX2's
6" woofer. 1" tweeter
These were originally bought as fronts but
when the Saturn's came on sale I couldn't resist upgrading, the have a
very smooth sound with all material and have surprising bass for such
small speakers.
One of these is now my centre speaker temporarily until my DIY one is
completed.
-Mordaunt Short MS35Ti
8" woofer. 3/4" titanium dome tweeter
These are my rear speakers, they are on loan from my parents,
excellent speakers even if you don't consider their age of close to 20
years.
-10" Peerless Subwoofer
10" Peerless CSX Driver, bass reflex 200w
