I built a CNC Foam Cutter a few years back and since then I have cut, designed and assembled a number of of different sizes but mostly warbird. After a number of fellow flyers asked, I decided to provide parts to allow them to build their own. Some of the models below are the creation from a most productive French men with a long experience in designing, building and flying electric models; Papy Kilowatt. The P51B and the Corsair are from him. F4U Corsair This small park flyer spans 27" and has the "famous bent wing" charisma in a small enough package to fly indoor but sturdy enough to fly outdoors too. My prototype flew at 7.2oz using a converted CD-ROM motor on 3S pack of 500mAh.
A6M2-N Rufe Based on the formidable and nimble Zero/Zeke, this float plane offer plenty of character in a small package. This small park flyer spans 30". My prototype weighs 10oz and has flown off water and even took off from the grown of synthetic grass at the triple indoor soccer field we fly at during the winter. My design offers enough versatility to actually be able to model also the Zero by mostly just swapping the fin, rudder and tail area.
A6M2 Zero/Zeke Requiring little introduction, the famous Zero represent the Japanese efforts to conquer the whole Pacific during WWII. MC202 Folgore Before the Lamborghini and the Ferrari, the Italian were already making pretty airplanes. The Folgore was a small warbird often seen in the Mediterranean theatre and across the desert. The engine was in fact a licensed DB 601, the same as the Me-109.
P51B Mustang A classic and one of the most popular warbirds of all times. This Mustang has the early lower profile canopy and retains the outlines of the famous US fighter. This was my first mini CNC Foam warbird and was designed by Papy Kilowatt.
